I’m Alisha McMillen, chief designer and founder of The College Care Package Company.

I live in Texas with my husband, John, my twin daughters Darian & Addy (when they’re home from college, that is) and our two dogs, Chocolate Lab Moose and Golden Retriever Scout.

Our business, a family affair, started organically when my daughters headed off to college in 2022. As I was prepping care packages to send to Birmingham, Alabama and Austin, I realized how much fun it was to find unique and exciting items that I thought would make them happy.

I started looking around and found that there are other care package companies out there, but they mostly contain snacks and candy. Our goal is to provide that, but also cute “stuff” they can use in their dorms/apartments, or that they can wear or share.

We started with Finals/Christmas boxes and were excited (and anxious) to find out there is a niche out there for our boxes. We continued with Valentine’s, Mardi Gras, St. Patricks, and added Birthday and I Miss You boxes.
